CleanDoD will terminate all services with partial refund on valid licenses. All services will remain active until Sep 4th.
Thanks for using our services and we hope the gaming industry to invest in anti-cheating solutions.
Interesting timing, isn't it? This has been an anti-cheat client for years, and weeks after DoD starts to use it, they just up and quit? Too much of a coincidence for me, personally. I went to the xmvc vent and saw tox and Sears talking in a channel, so I went to see if they had heard about this.
Now it's odd because when I brought up the topic they were being all weird about it, and Sears kept saying "let's just say I saw this coming a mile away," while laughing in a strange way. At first it just sounded like they thought it was a funny situation, but it seemed to be more than that. Since Sears was acting off about it, I just PMed tox...
alexkirk: Why is Sears acting so weird about this?
toxinatoR: not really supposed to say yet
toxinatoR: because it involves him
alexkirk: What does that even mean?
toxinatoR: it means he's the reason that ac is shutting down
alexkirk: Are you purposely trying to be cryptic?
toxinatoR: go look at his instagram
So checking Sears' instagram, he posted a photo of his PayPal where he is sending money to someone with a blurred out name. But if you look closely enough, you can make out some of the letters...
And then his Twitter...
So, I don't know exactly what the deal is, but it seems that Sears is sending the head of CleanDoD a lot of money on the day they say they are shutting down. I mean, it looks like Sears just purchased rights to CleanDoD or paid them to shut down or something. And as Sears has told me he's not made of money thus needing help to maintain this site, I feel like some of that could have come from the 1911 fund...
I don't know, bros. Shit is weird.
FUNNY HOW THIS GOT DELETED THE FIRST TIME, HUH?
